Data We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to provide our accounting services and to respond to enquiries: name, company details, email, phone number, and any message content you send us.

Purpose

Your data is used to deliver contracted accounting services, to comply with statutory record-keeping obligations, and to respond to your enquiries.

Retention

Client records are retained for the periods required by Finnish accounting law (generally 6 to 10 years). Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months unless a client relationship is established.

Legal Basis

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR: (a) performance of a contract for client services; (b) compliance with a legal obligation, in particular Finnish accounting and tax law; (c) your consent for optional analytics and advertising cookies; and (d) our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving our website.

Cookies and Tracking

This website uses two categories of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies (for example, session and language preferences) are required for the site to function and are set automatically. Optional cookies — used for analytics, traffic measurement, and advertising performance via the Microsoft Advertising network and similar partners — are only set after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie Settings control below; you do not need to clear your browser cookies.

The table below lists the cookies this website may use. Advertising cookies are only set after you give consent and are removed when you reject or withdraw consent.

Microsoft Advertising and UET Tracking

Only after you give advertising-cookie consent, we may use Microsoft Advertising and its Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag (loaded from bat.bing.com). UET may measure the performance of our advertising campaigns, attribute conversions, and support remarketing so we can show relevant ads. Until you consent, Microsoft UET, advertising, remarketing and conversion tracking do not load. You can withdraw this consent at any time via Cookie Settings, after which the tracking is disabled and related cookies are cleared. Microsoft processes the data it collects as an independent controller under its own terms; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement and the Microsoft Advertising Policies. We do not use these tools to collect special-category personal data.

Who We Share Data With

We share personal data only with the categories of third parties needed to operate our business and website: our website hosting provider; our email and contact-form provider; Microsoft Advertising (only where you have consented to advertising cookies); an analytics provider where one is used (only with your consent); IT support and maintenance providers; and accounting, tax, audit, or legal advisers and authorities where required by law. These providers act as our processors or, where they determine their own purposes (such as Microsoft), as independent controllers. We do not sell your personal data.

International Data Transfers

We aim to keep personal data within the EU/EEA. However, some providers — including Microsoft, hosting, or analytics providers — may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, an adequacy decision, or the provider's own GDPR-compliant transfer mechanisms. You may contact us for more information about these safeguards.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten"); object to processing; request restriction of processing; withdraw your consent at any time (for example, by using the Cookie Settings panel); and, where applicable, data portability. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutettu). To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@tilitoimistoariluoma.com and we will respond within the statutory time limits.
